Harp on the good…

My Good friend Ryan Pizzo told me to not think so negative.  So today in my car ride into work I was thinking about just positive stuff that went on this past Sunday morning at open Inline.  As I was thinking about it.  I didn’t do so bad on my first time back in over 15 years.   I had 2 assist and 3 shots on goal…  I had one major flub I keep harping on but letting that get inside my head and cloud all the positive stuff I did  just isn’t a good thing.  So if this is any advice I can give ya is to Harp on the good what ever it may be…    This photo was found at http://www.musicinventions.org/shepherd0203/hockeystickharp.htm  Pretty bad ass or what?

Puck Push Cart!

My Daughter came up with this idea the other night when I was in the basement stick handling on the dry land Hockey shot tiles and shooting into the ‘snipers edge’ shooting tarp.  She tells me “I’ll help gather the hockey pucks for you Daddy…”   Talk about one smart little cookie or should I say biscuit =)

Green Biscuit “snipe” now shootable practice puck…

Green Biscuit Snipe” is what they are calling it.  I have the “sauce” version and I recommend now shooting it but they are claiming now that the “Snipe” version is totally shootable.  I went to Sports Plus in Whippanny, NJ and they have this awesome display right on the counter.  I didn’t test one out but I am very tempted to buy one.  They are a little more expensive that the original but If it doesn’t break and works just as good then I’m ALL IN!  For more info click here

Larp vs Tarp… The saga continues….

Have no idea what “Larp-n” is?  Or aka Larp, Larping.  Well here is the Definition from wiki “A live action role-playing game (LARP) is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters’ actions. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world, while interacting with each other in character. The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules, or determined by consensus among players. Event arrangers called gamemasters decide the setting and rules to be used and facilitate play.”

I much rather go with Hockey Tarp-n.  You?  Follow the conversation on www.facebook.com/uppercornerhockey

Well the first rude and crude look of my basement hockey training center (can i call it center yet?  or should I just go with area?)   When the money starts rolling in… I’ll be able to slowly but surely (don’t call me Shirley) set up the area the way I want it.  But for now it is what it is.  Yes in the video that is a huge pool table on the right.  Right now it rolled out of the way and acting like a really really big expensive defensemen.  Well anyways enjoy the video and more to come…
